History
Brief:
This area was originally part of Derby. The settlement began about 1680 and that section was known as the Quaker Farms. In May 1741, the Parish of Oxford was established and was made the town of Oxford in October 1798. Town vital records begin 1798. Barbour collection records cover 1798-1850.
