History
Brief:
The first settler here was Richard Sperry, who by 1660 was operating a farm for Stephen Goodyear. The Society of Amity was established in October 1738. It became the town of Woodbridge in 1784 on land taken from New Haven and Milford. It was named for Rev. Benjamin Woodbridge. Town vital records begin 1784.
