History
Brief:
This town was originally part of Windsor. In May 1696 the Court authorized a church so that settlers did not had to cross to the west side of the CT River to worship. In 1768, East Windsor was separated from Windsor as an independent town. Town Birth records begin 1768. Marriage records begin 1761. Death records begin 1769. Barbour collection records cover 1768-1860.
