JewishGen Web Site Redesigned
Redesigned JewishGen Web Site Now Easier to Use
www.JewishGen.org
JewishGen, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching and promoting Jewish genealogy and an affiliate of the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Lower Manhattan, has begun a major redesign of its website to better serve genealogical researchers and those looking for lost family members. The redesign process is ongoing and will eventually include all the main pages of the site. For now, the new streamlined homepage is complete and can be viewed at the same address, www.JewishGen.org. The website remains a free source of information.
As part of this new design, first-time visitors can quickly learn about the site and how to begin research with the “Get Started” feature, while experienced genealogists can navigate JewishGen and Ancestry.com more effectively with enhanced “Search” tools. To make all searches simpler, content has been intuitively consolidated into two categories: “Databases” and “Research.” Users can learn about new developments by visiting the homepage, which is updated regularly with the addition of new databases, projects, search tools, and more.
JewishGen is excited about this first step and is eager for improvements that will ensure the site remains the premiere online resource for Jewish genealogy.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions that will help the site continue to grow and improve, please email info@JewishGen.org.
